|
|
I am currently looking to change my ISP because of issues over the last month with SK Broadband (connection times out every 30 minutes). They have tried to fix the problem with no success. I currently have 100Mb service for abut W35,000 with them and dont want to settle for anything lower than that speed wise.
Does anyone have any suggestion as to which company is the most reliable. Most importantly, I play Xbox which requires a steady connection with no interruptions.
Thanks for the help! |

I live in Nowon as well and I currently use T-Broad. So far I've had no problems with it and the speed is really fast! Cheap too. Definitely look into it |

I've been having problems with SK broadband too (I'm in Seongnam). Connections have been slow, youtube is even slower than before, and tv service has hiccups every 10 minutes. How can I switch without going through the hassle of paying termination fees? |

Thanks for the reply charlie. Do you know what the connection speed of T-Broad is? If they/you have the 100Mb service then I'll prolly give it a go. If you could find out thatd be awesome!
timity, I am going to have a Korean friend do the talking for me since I have a legit problem that they know of, and admit they dont know how to fix it. Hopefully this will be enough ground to bypass the termination fee. I have also heard that some companies will pay your termination fee if you switch to their service. Not 100% sure but worth a look into if your problems are are terrible as mine. |

I can also confirm problems with SK broadband. They reportedly had a cable cut in the Japan tsunami, and speeds outside of Korea are horrible. |

I lived in Nowon for a year. Had C&M for the first half and it was horrendous. Neighbor had T-broadband which was only slightly better. I cancelled my contract with C&M and switched to KT. I highly recommend KT. It was night and day to everything else I experienced in Nowon. |

Alright, so it looks like I will either go T-Broad or KT. I have heard some people talking about KT being slower these days though. Does anyone use KT at the moment who can confirm/deny these problems?
Any information would be very helpful since I don't want to switch and find myself with a similar problem I'm already having with SK.
Thanks |
