|
|
I am flying to Korea in just over a week and want to know if anyone knows a good gym near my apartment, which is 5mins walk from Sunae station Bundang?
What times are gyms typically opened and what prices would I be looking at? Also I hate gyms with just body builders and young groups of guys running a muck pretending to be tough all huddled together. So what is the mix of people you usually find at a gym in Korea as I would like this to be the place where I first make some friends.
I also love playing soccer/football and I am quite good having played my whole life and I know here (Australia) Koreans make teams and groups to play for fun on Sundays. Does anyone know a good place to play on a Sunday which would be easily accessible from Sunae Station and which is for fun but quite good players?
Thanks! |

| No idea on the gym, as I'm only at the researching stage of deciding whether to apply but my research has thrown up a Sunday Football League that a lot of foreigners seem to play in. If you google 'SSFL', it should be one of the top results. |

| There is a gym in nearly every aparment building and there's also a Bally Fitness. That one is $130 a month. Others are similar in price but if you like taking classes, it has the most variety. |

$130 a month? That is way overpriced! I wouldnt even pay that here in Australia and I am on just over 60k a year. I think I will just run in the mountains and buy some free weights! LOL $130 a month pffffff! Am I moving to Paris or Korea? No I don't need classes as I am fit and just want to maintain muscle and keep up my stamina for soccer.
Please tell me playing soccer on Sunday isn't $130 a month! |

| It's highway robbery, but you don't have to give into the bandits. The Tancheon river is nearby and there's parkland alongside it with a bike path that goes all the way into Seoul. |
