|
|
Can anyone recommend a place to go for the weekend with my girlfriend? We have been together 2 years so it doesn't need to be super romantic. We are both a bit stressed from work and need a break from Seoul. It should be easy to get to from either Seoul or Yongsan station.
Any recommendations would be gratefully recieved. |

I'm in the same boat as this guy. Where can I go with my girl to get away from the pollution? |

I'd prefer the train if that's ok.
Seriously though, help us out folks. |

Mokpo, then to Hongdo?
Some other options:
* Songnisan / Beopjusa
* Tapsa / Maisan near Jinan (exit the KTX at Iksan)
* Jikjisa, (Gimcheon) under-rated & well worth seeing
* Danyang: 3 artificial waterfalls, caves, temples, & the 3 rocks in the river
* Ulleungdo (3 hours from Donghae on the east coast)
* Chuncheon

Grab a KTX to Busan (3 hrs) and go to Taejongdae, look at the ocean, grab a bite near the observatory. Very beautiful, very quiet, accessible.

Spend the evening in Seomyeon (JJB or Hostel (Blue Backpackers 30$/night?) then putter around the city and head back. |

You are one hour away from Jeju. Flights can be had for 60,000 won, love motel for 40,000 won. Jeju needn't be expensive.
Spring flowers are blooming. It was 17 C today. It's expected to be warmer next weekend. The air is cleaner, the hikes nice, the weather not too cool, not too hot.
Come on down.  |

I highly recommend Seonyu-do. You take a ferry from Gunsan. It's a quiet little island that few Koreans seem to know about. You can stay at a little motel where the adjumma will handle everything for you, the room, there's probably a restaurant on the first floor, even renting a bike. If you wait a few weeks I bet the weather will be spectacular. |
