interesting article

In 1882, three courageous American officers became the first Westerners to step foot in Busan.

Korea wi never be a serious country til they sort this ridiculousness out. On a positive note, Bundang used to be spelled/pronounced PoonTang.

Oh, how true! Korea wi never be serious country!

They've sorted it out. It's Busan.

China will never be a serious country til they sort out this whole Peking Beijing thing! The romanization of town names is very important.

seriously, it's sorted. it's Busan. The world is just waiting for Korea to change their Romanization again, and refusing to adopt the current Romanization (and by refusing to adopt it, Korea may eventually change again feeling pressured by the lack of adoption, so it's a vicious stupid cycle).
