| I'm not morbidly depressed or anything like that, but I've had a case of the blues going on for a while and would like to try some medication other than green bottles to deal with it. But would seeing a shrink and getting on such medication put a black mark on my documents and either get me deported or refused a visa renewal? If anyone has experience with this I'd be thankful. And if you can make any recommendations for a good doctor on the east side of Busan, that would be nice too. |

Nothing will happen if you see a doctor and get some medication for your depression. Your medical record is not shared with immigration. The immigration medical will not pick up your mental health history, even in Korea, unless you tell them.
Just keep it quiet. Find a doctor away from your work. You will be fine. |
