If i bought a Korean iphone4 and had it unlocked. would i be able to activated in Canada using Rogers or Fido (or other)?
I heard it can be used int he US under at&t or Verizon. Is Canada any different?

Yes. KT will unlock it for you. I wrote up instructions on how to get it done here http://preview.tinyurl.com/4re624r. Very easy.
You'll be able to use it on all four big network. The smaller newer networks (like Wind) don't support the iPhone because of the different frequencies. |

this is great news as i am about to go home in a few days. jonpurdy- did you call 114 from your home country or before you left korea? you do not have to actually go to a store, or pay for this? i would love to do it now but i do not have a canadian sim card here. i am thinking i will call them before i leave, grab a sim card when i get home and then do the sync thing like you described on the webpage link.
is it really that easy or will i need someone to translate korean for me?
thanks for the info |
