I know this isn't vital but there are no subways where I live and it is nice to pop up to Seoul as am not that far and stock up a bit just for some variety. I guess I don't need to justify it as I 'm sure I am preaching to the converted but the only 2 I know are in Itaewon and Taehangno.

There must be some in Gangnam as that is closer to me so can any spoiled Seoulite out there list a convenient location south of the river. Thanks!

The two closest to me are next to Starbucks at BangBang Intersection, Kangnam Station exit 3, walk about 1km south. The other one near here is at Yeoksam Station outside exit 2(?), one block east.

It's good, but much more expensive.

I forgot to mention the Subway next to Starbucks at BangBang intersection has really bad service. They gave me bologna once and insisted it was ham.

There is one right next to the subway exit (not sure which one) at NakSeongDae Station on line Two, 5 stops east of Kangnam Station. (The station number is 227).

They will deliver subs to your home as well. (assuming you live relatively close).

There's a Subway on the north side of Chongno Avenue east of the Kyobo Building and just east of Chonggak metro station, but west of Tapkol Park. I sometimes stay in that area when I'm in Seoul, so I've eaten there several times.

I went to the Subway in Itaewon once, and there was a basket where they expected you to put any napkins that you didn't use (I guess so they could give them to other customers). Gross.

You must live in a small town OP. There is subways popping up everywhere.

Did you notice how SLOW they are here. if they were that slow back in the west they would be fired.

Hopefully things will improve at the Subway at Incheon airport...I ordered a meatball sandwich and they gave it to me sans the tomato sauce....a bit dry. Confused

I went to the Subway in Itaewon once, asked for Green tea but it wasn't on the menu so they got me some from the staff kitchen "service". Wouldn't happen back home.

They are slow though.

Note that in many Subways here the seafood salad is different from that in North America. Also, the roast beef would not be from America.

the itaewon branch has some good service...i mean, considering they have to take orders in both korean and english...and on top of that, deal with the random angry and irrate customer (haven't seen too many native koreans arguing with them)...overall...i like their service...
