How politicians exploit crises to push though legislation to privatize public utilities and remove the public's democratic rights (as in Wisconsin).

The brilliant Noami Klein, author of The Shock Doctrine, explains how on Democracy Now.

Very Interesting if you want to know what the real agendas of many politicians.

A must watch!

Privatization, privatization everywhere.

Should we also mention that the American legal system is broken due to its adversarial court system (same goes to most Anglo countries)?

Your link gets no attention because it's crap. The "real agenda" of some politicians is to -- gasp * believe it or not -- shirink growing debt, end unsustainable entitlements for overpaid government employees, shrink the government-encouraged welfare class, and lower kimbop's taxes while giving him more freedom and allowing him to defend his property. This is 'democratic' inasmuch as this is what voters voted for.

Naomi Klein is a communist. She sees islam as a non-threat, hates gun owners, and hates her judeo-christian civilizational roots. Her opinion only gets attention on partisan left-wing radical outlets like al jazeera (where her husband works).

Here's something much more poignant and interesting:

Well I guess you better leave the commonwealth or 'the west' and head to greener court pastures -- which also happen to be less capitalistic-- in myanmar, sudan or North Korea. Good luck with that.

The hypocrisy in some of his arguments are ridiculous.

"Are you pro-choice?" as a start. Criticizing someone as being anti-choice because they're not in favour of certain choices whilst preserving other choices seems somewhat in conflict with his positions on, I don't know, abortion, same-sex marriage, etc., etc. Where's the personal choice on those issues?

That's not to say that I think he's necessarily wrong on the restrictions on personal buying habits.

The bigwigs in the legal field are exploiting from private matters to big business cases. Kinda like the Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Indirectly exploiting others to make themselves good? You bet.

That was more like a contraction, wouldn't you say, Kuros?

I don't think there's any rule of law in the first world Anglosphere (USA, Canada, Australia, Scotland etc). And this will affect the economy.

Doesn't he want to get the federal government out of the picture -- thereby preventing the federal government from ramming something down our throats, offending many -- and let the individual states choose? I could be wrong, but this would be offering more choices. Furthermore, he believes that life begins at gestation, thus equating abortion with murder, but that's a whole other ball park.

But I see your point.

Yes, the first world 'anglosphere' is a horrible place! I bid you good riddance as you set sail for greener pastures in the middle-eastosphere, africa-sphere, or China sphere; all of which happen to have better economies to boot! *

* You don't know what you're talking about.

Naomi Klein is like Chomsky without the intellectual prowess.
