Their sophomore release was decent.
I failed to care after that.

Hearing that song really takes me back to my undergrad days in the 1990s. Unfortunately, never was a big fan of the song or group. Read a few months back online how that singer - Gavin? - is a schizophrenic. |

When I was in high school, I believed that the Counting Crows were the greatest band ever. I'm not as steadfast in my support (to anything) these days, but they have a few amazing songs.
Is Mr. Jones about marijuana? |

They sure are a good bad. Simple and direct. They kind of remind me a late 60s band like the Five Man Electrical Band, with a modern edge to it. Not so original but who cares as long as they can make good musice. Mr.Jones song sure has a good kick to it.
