|
|
Hello,
I'm currently looking into buying Bad Company 2 through the EA store and I have two questions...hoping that someone will be able to shine some light on them. Hopefully somebody has experienced this and have some answers. Thanks in advance for the help.
1. Any time I try to get on the EA Store to buy the game, it changes the language to Korean and I'm having some trouble navigating through it. Granted, I can slowly figure it out and and purchase it...but I'm just wondering if there's a way to change it to English without using a proxy.
2. Now here's the more important one...if I do end up buying the game online on the Korean EA Store, will I be able to install it in English? I'd hate to have to buy the game and then not be able to change the language settings.
I hope someone can help me out. Btw, I know I'm late to the game but after seeing the Battlefield 3 trailer, I just don't have the patience. Playing Battlefield on pmang isn't as fun as I thought. Also, how is the server population in Korea/Asia? |

i played this to death when it first came out but now didnt touch for 3 months. so heres what i say from ym experience.
wouldnt it be better to buy through steam? that way u can always get latest updates...and if u sell ur machine download it to another. does ea allow that? im not sure
i dunno about anyone else but i really like having a centralised library of installable games that ive built up through steam.
bc2 was quite buggy for me. would kick me out repeatadly after games or even frustratingly halfway through. there were no korean servers after the first couple of months. why i dont know. but it means your lag will come in at 200+. so basically a disadvantage.
despite annoyances it was an awesome game to play...but no battlefield 2 or 3 (if it lives upto expectations). its essentially a console version of the battlefield series.
i think for you the annoying thing about being late to games is the established or experienced players that have all the top unlcoked weapons from body armor to 1 shot kill magnum rounds. your gonna get your ass handed to you. in some ways i hate this system they have in place, but its the model now adopted across the board. always get in early!! |

BC2 is great. I have the ps3 version, and while its hard to find full games during my waking hours, its great fun. doesnt take long to unlock everything though..i think maybe level 25. theres basically no difference between a level 25 and a level 50 player weapon-wise
it, along with the total war series, has inspired me to get a new pc once battlefield 3 comes out. |

If you want for pc go for Steam version. You can choose langage, it's cheaper (30$) and patches are downloaded automatically.
Steam will probably have soon easter/spring sale so maybe you can get it even cheaper.
I've tried sending email to korean EA support but never got any answer.
I'm still playing this game on ps3 (over 350h) and lag is not big. The game is great. IMHO best multiplayer for ps3 so far.
And BF3 I will probably buy both for PC and PS3 |

| Thanks for the help guys. Steam worked like a charm. Although I do have to say that vietnam isn't as fun as the normal version...but I haven't played the single player yet. I was also surprised to find a handful of servers with sub 100 latency. Awesome game...it will definitely hold me over til battlefield 3. |

In vietnam music rocks. It gives you totally new experience than vanilla.
It's not better, but it's a great addition.
I think vietnam is one of the best DLC's ever, not some bullshit ripoff that was already on disc. I can't wait for BF3. |
