Does anyone know how leasing a car works here?

I'm under the impression that you have to make a huge down payment (like 30% of the car's value) plus very high monthly installments compared with Europe/US.

Anyone have any experience on this matter? Thanks.

I bought a used car in Seoul. (for 1800 dollars... and it's been working great, looks great.. hahaha, and I've only been here for less than a month)
And according to them, many other foreigners do this even on E-2s.
I am not sure how thins work with brand new cars but I gues the proceedure is similar.

What they ask you to do tha's most daunting is making a Korean Stamp to replace your signature (20 bux) and then you just go to the city hall that has jurisdiction over your area and get something called in-gam Jingmingseoh. Hand it over to the car company and then most of the stuff you need to do is all taken care of. The insurance will cost you a bit. Like 60 bux a month. I guess it will only go higher with new cars.
