Not really, people trade them all the time. Very few people have the chance to travel to that many cities/countries. A lot of people collect them, and not everyone has the time or the money to travel that many places.
Another thing to consider is this - I was in Tokyo six months ago, and there were no mugs for that city then because the mugs were coming out soon. I missed the window, or you just don't have time to get one and you trade - no big deal. |

kinda odd but useful...at least they can be put to use if you have a HUGE party
no different than the other crap people collect...for most boys growing up, Trading Cards or Sci Fi stuff
last thing i can remember collecting were Lighters, expensive ones not Bics

In my opinion, it's fine if you've been but missed out. However, don't trade mugs for somewhere you haven't been.
That's lame. |

If you're in Bangkok, Starbuck's sells large mugs there with the words BANGKOK on the mug along with a little color drawing on the mug. The same for all large foriegn cities where they have stores, like Chiang Mai, Seoul, Tokyo. Actually I think they make good gifts, because nobody else is going to have one unless they trade somehow or have been there. |
