With everything's that going on in Japan, will people still be going there for visa runs in the upcoming months? Is anyone planning to go to Beijing, Taiwan, or somewhere else instead?

I'm asking because Zippy is signing a new contract and I'm wondering what the options are for getting his next visa. He's not planning to come home.

I got my last visa in Manila. I think it took four or five days from the drop-off to pick-up. It's a busy office, so make sure get there well before they open because you have to sign-in at the building reception desk before they will let you go up to the immigration office. Also, once youre in the immi office and have taken a waiting number, if there is a long queue and their very limited time for receiving or picking up has been reached, you will have to come back the next day.
