hi all,

if any of the forum experts could please advise on some questions regarding transferring jobs at end of contract...

-if i stop working 3 weeks b4 end of contract (3 weeks holidays owed to me), will i still be able to stay in korea for those 3 weeks + the 4 extra weeks given on my ARC card after contract expires?....i want to have a break for a few weeks then change jobs without leaving korea.

-is it true i wont i wont need a letter of release (because will be completing the contract)?

-is it true that because i would have been working for 2 years straight (ie renewed once), that i will need to resubmit all documents again (apostille degree, criminal check)? apparently i've recently heard, that only on your 1st renew you don't need to submit documents. this would contradict the new E2 guidelines as of sept 2010 - which states only need to submit apostilled degree once and don't need criminal check if not leaving korea for more that 3 months.

**nb ..i submitted an apostilled degree in october 2010 when i renewed at my hogwan for a second year (i'm pretty sure i didn't submit a criminal check because immigration didn't require it). my current contract will end in oct 2011.
