Hi All,
Ok so long story short-
I sent all me documents off to a University, then went to the embassy to get the visa only to be told when I got home that the visa is taking too long (5working days) to process so I don't have the job.
I have obviously spent alot of money getting these documents together and sending them over to Korea, is there any chance that I will get them back or do I have to start the whole process over again?
Thanks |

Kimmi keeps them when your visa confirmation number is applied for.
You will never see them again.
You get to start all over again.
More bad news is that IF you already have your visa confirmation number you will have to wait 90 days (till it expires) before you can apply for a new one (same is true if you already applied for and received a visa).

This happened to me as well. I did not know it would take 90 days now!
Thank you for the information.

Ok, I was issued a immigration number for the visa. My passport is currently at the consulate office. Some issues came up and I also could not make it to the consulate office (in another state) quick enough. The recruiter informed me that he passed the job to someone else.
So, what can I do at this point? I do not have the visa yet, so do I have to wait 90 days as well. I understand I still have to process the paperwork. Also, would the 90 days wait only apply to S. Korea, or can I apply to other countries for a visa? Thank you for the information.

*correction *an immigration number. Also, what if I went through with the Visa, entered Korea to look for another job to sponsor a second visa.
Or, who cancels the original immigration visa number?
I can't use a tourist visa to enter and look for work since I have to have an interview in my home country before I can receive the E-2 for the first time , correct?
