Is there another place, besides the subway, that refills the T Money card? like does 7-11 do it? if so, do I have to ask the person working there or is there a machine to refill it?

also, is there a way to check how much you have left on the card. it would be nice if i could check it online, but i'm doubting that.

Most convenience stores have a little re-fill machine sitting on the counter. The clerk has to help you with that task.

Yea the mom and pop's stores can't do it for you, go to a family mart or 7/11. I never heard of anything about being able to check it on line.
All you have to do if you can't speak Korean is just hold up your card and hold the amount you want on your card next to it. They'll do the rest.

GS25, Family Mart, 7-11, Buy The Way, Ministop, Storyway, C-Space, plus small kiosks near bus stops with huge purple T-money logo on them.

Remaining balance on special (and rare) USB types of T-money can be checked on-line (and topped-up online), but not a chance with the most common, prepaid plastic cards.

you can fill them at 7-11. You gotta ask the guy. probably give him money and the card and he'll understand what you want.

You can check it online but only if you get a Korean's ID card or your name is really short. they have a foreign sign-up on the Tmoney site, but it doesn't expand the name field, it's limited to like 7 or 8 characters.

They should all have an ID number on them, you can register that online and check them.

"티머니 (whatever number) 원 충전해 주세요" (t-money (amount) won choongjunhae jooseyo) is the way to say it for future reference.

If your t-money card is on your debit card, why would you need to refill it? Mine's on my credit card, and it counts up, not down, then is swept clean once or twice a month. It's so convenient not having to refill it all the time. Do debit T-money cards work differently?

They can be on the same device without being connected. Mine was on my old phone. I still had to charge it manually. There was an app I could use in pinch to charge to my phone bill, but it still had to be charged.

maybe the lady at KEB didn't understand what i was saying, but i thought she was trying to tell me that even though the little gold thing is on my KEB global debit card, i still need to recharge it. her english was only so-so. maybe i should keep using it even after i think my 20,000 won i put in is gone and see if it just deducts it from my account. is that what you're saying, that it's deducted from your account?

I have one from hana bank. It's not the same since it cant be used anywhere other than the subway or bus, but I have to charge it manually. I can only do it at the machines in the subway.
