I am looking for a decent espresso machine that can also make foam.
If you have an espresso machine sitting around that you don't think you'll be using, please let me know |

My suggestion won't help you with the foam part, but will help you make some world-class espresso.
It's a non-electric kettle that you use on the stove top burner. It looks like something the cowboys would use sitting around the campfire. Definitely not a high tech espresso maker, but the espresso it makes is every bit as good. No foam though. I'm guessing you want to make latte or cappucino. I use my blender to foam up the milk for that. Works pretty well.
Anyway, Homeplus sells them, and they come in different sizes- mine is the small 2 cup maker. An added advantage is it does not take up much space in the suitcase. |

Yeah, that is the exact model I was talking about. I paid about 25 bucks four years ago. Now they sell them for $6 at my local grocery store here in the states.
Also, I am pretty sure they are in the 25,000 range at Homeplus. |

oh, thanks for the replies, but yeah, although I love those stove-top espresso machines, which I happen to have one already, but since I've started working, I just don't have the time to wait for it to cook in the mornings, so was looking for an electronic one (if that's what you call them)... but since they are really quite expensive, I thought I'd give it a shot and ask people around here to see if anyone has one that they don't use anymore, and can sell me for a decent price |

You should wait more for your coffee at the Starbucks! Those stovetop things deliver your coffee in a few minutes. They are easy to clean etc.
Just get up 5 min. earlier.
If you want an espresso machine, that would take longer time. You should take your time with those. It's also a hobby, not just to get your coffee done quickly as possible.
If you are looking for an automatic one, they are really pricey. |

I've been using a Bialetti Moka Express for more than 10 years. If you like strong Americano-style coffee then this is the way to go. Just try to get the 3-pack of rubber seal rings when you buy the thing. You'll need to replace those rings about once a year. |

I've got a delinghi espresso maker with the steamer on the side.
I'm biting a new machine so I'll no longer need this machine. I bought this for over two million won a few years ago. It's fully automatic you set the desired strenghth and the amount of water then push. If you want steamed foamy milk that is hot.
Anyway let me lnow |
