|

I have a Galaxy S that I paid about KRW200,000 when I purchased in August, 2010. It has a 2-year contract under the name of a Korean friend. I have a colleague willing to buy the phone and continue the contract for the 2nd year (unlimited data plan for 55,000 + about 20,000 per month for other charges). Is 100,000 too much to ask for the phone? It is in great shape, and has the latest firmware updates.
Thanks,
Barry |

I would guess the buyer would have the option of getting a new phone for 200,000 plus the contract for two years. Is there a penalty for canceling your contract? If so, then that would be saved by selling it.
I'd add the cash you paid (200,000) and the penalty you would have to pay to cancel (X) as your actual out-of-pocket cost for owning the phone, since you and the buyer will pay equal amounts on the two-year contract. The buyer would own the phone outright (no contract) after a year, so getting it for half of this amount (100 + 0.5X) would be fair.
Of course actual prices are determined by the specific needs and interests of the buyer and seller. And the friend whose name is on the contract, of course. |

i would take over the contract alone.
55k +20,000 i'm pretty sure is higher than what new galaxy s or iphone contracts cost now. and im pretty sure you pay nothing up front if you were to make a 2 year contract. |
