| Read about the Apple Peel which came out last year its a device that transform your iPod into an iPhone. I REALLY want one, but cant seem to find any place that ships to here. And also, is it illegal to get one? |

Seems like you could get one on ebay, not sure if the prices are any more or less than what you'd find on other retailers, but there seemed to be a few up there. I don't see why it'd be illegal, but... you know how Korea is. As long as it's registered, it should be fine.
In any case, when you get one, you'll have to get it registered with KT so you can actually get cell phone service on it. Let us know how you like it! |

I just looked at the ebay auction more closely and realized that there's one big reason why it will not work for you in Korea. It says it supports "GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz networks", none of which exist in Korea. You'd have to find one that works on 2100mHz (3G aka WCDMA) frequencies to work here .... |

Does anyone know if there is an Apple Peel (or anything like that) that works for South Korea now? I saw one that says this:
Supports GSM/EDGE network
Data Services: GPRS/EDGE
But no other details regarding capabilities in certain countries... I don't know much about cell phones so I don't know if that's enough information to know if it works in Korea. |
