As an esl teacher I first came to Korea only with the suitcases that could all fit on one plane trip.

Now that I'm here I've built up a few more things, but also bought some electronic stuff like large sized computer monitor (not LCD flat panel), stereo speakers and the like.

I'm kind of thinking about, if and when I decide to move within Korea (even if it's just from one side of Seoul over to the other, or from city to city), or also the possibility of going to another country for perhaps a short or medium length of time. If moving within Korea, are there any good or excellent moving companies that will move your stuff for low or decent fees? Or are you totally up to your own devices to get it moved (i.e. hopefully have helpful friend with car, etc)?

Perhaps does the Korail company offer any moving services, since after all they move so much human cargo?

Also if a person wants to move from here to another Asian country for work, any moving companies recommendable? Or how about any good, well priced storage if a person just wants to go for a while and then come back to Korea?

Anyways as far as moving within Korea, I'm just really concerned about a 19" computer monitor as well as a few other things -- I guess the suitcases could always be taken on passenger trains. Any new recommendations or ideas?

i have also accumulated a lot of things. i have been lucky i finding storage places when i need it. i have some good friends who have helped me out.

as for moving.... yu can hire a van and drive yourself...

or - look in the herald or times - there are many removal companies advertised.

i have to admire people who can travel light here. a good friend of mine left korea a while ago taking with him only what he could carry in a small bag. he simply left everything behind. made me realise i am no longer the hippy i used to be.
