i have a korean couple as my neighbors in an officetel. ive never seen them. i only hear them. yet, sometimes, judging by the sounds i hear, i swear i live in a possessed building

the male seems to never articulate words, just grunts, random sounds, and shouts. he also seems to lightly vomit on a near daily basis.

beyond that it's the both of them drunk while he shouts and the female cries out "oppa!!!!"

or she'd do the same while banging on the door. either she forgot or he changed the door code i imagine. this of course would go on for 20 minutes while i'd sit there laughing and eventually crank up some roots reggae to chill her out and stop banging on the door of an empty room.

they had a yapping dog for months. sometimes two. i haven't heard it in awhile. instead, for about a week i've been hearing a baby cry.

last night, at 5 am, the woman began screaming bloody murder. i mean, shrieking, piercing stuff. she then ran out into the hall and kept screaming. i could hear the screams becoming more distant. the male seemed to be consoling her.

from that kind of screaming i could only imagine the baby had died next door. i swear, these people are nuts.

I hate to be the grammar police, but this OP has to be the sloppiest, most incoherent piece of writing I've seen in some time. And I grade Korean middle-schoolers' essays!

other than a grievous one word mistake in the first paragraph and improper switching between verb tenses, i don't see what's so bad. but then again, i am sleep deprived. you would be too if you heard what sounded like a woman being murdered at 5 am.

i guess i was trying to sum up the madness that i've been hearing for the past six months in too short a post. i suppose i should've just made a list, with bullets, for the powerpoint generation.

Rolling Eyes

my neighbors are like that as well, but not so often. It sucks!
I'd bang on the wall if it was that constant!

Wow, some edits and improvements. You could stand to hit the shift key now and again as well.

i usually dont mind them if they're loud as i'm going to bed at 1 or 2. loud drinking is something i do too. i can just fall asleep to music and not hear them at all. it's the sudden outbursts of terror that get to me. this has only happened twice, but it shook the hell out of me this time. i was convinced there was a dead newborn next door. i'm still not sure there isn't. now the lack of a babe's cries is going to get to me!

other than those moments, i kind of like living in a place where i don't get a-holes knocking on my door for playing music at what i'd consider an acceptable volume.

as for the shift key: next time i apply to underwaterbob's englishee hagwon to be a full time teacher, or write him a personalized story, i will make full use of her.

for the off topic forum? not so much.

i used to worry about this. then one day i woke up and realized worrying about capitalization errors in informal settings such as web boards or text messages makes you look like a sex-deprived boner face.

Unless you are on a web forum for teaching English......

That's like being a guy on a hunting forum misidentifying firearms. Or someone on a fishing forum calling a walleye a bass or something.

PG, SG, hey, same thing, they're both in the backcourt.

Five periods! I hope you aren't teaching improper usage of mega-ellipses in English class, or using them on message boards!

tut, tut, we are teachers here. keep off-topic classy.

That sounds like my house. Maybe we're neighbors.

Only it's my wife that grunts all of the time. Wink

They aren't coital sounds, ever, oddly enough. I've had those neighbors though, and boy do a lot of ladies put on a show. You must feel like He-man.

I must have lived in the same building as the both of you then.

Before I moved, my neighbor on the left was a psycho. I wouldn't doubt if she was a prostitute as a shit load of them all live in Yeoksam and Seolleung area. Anyways she would yell at her boyfrind or f buddy or whatever on the phone and in person. One time I before I left, she was yelling on the phone and I left to go look at other offictels to move out. After looking at some offictels I come back and she's STILL yelling at him.

Then another night, I can't tell which neighbor it was, but someone sounded like they were getting raped at like 2 am. After awhile I couldn't stand it so I went out to find the source of the screaming, it just happens as soon as I leave my room it stops. So still have no idea who it was

Solution: pirate "Hobo with a Shotgun" and blast it from your apartment?

Your apartment life sounds wildly entertaining to me. You should write about it...oh, somehwhere other than this fourms board of course.
