Can anyone suggest some online alternatives to NiceDeli?

Don't get me wrong, I like NiceDeli, its great for the hard to find items like lamb and cold cuts. But their once a week shipping is inconvenient and their markup per item is actually pretty high (3 to 7,000 depending on what it is). Better than most of their competition but, still.....

The only other site I can think of is a korean one.

My friend likes exshopkorea. I've checked them out, and they have some nice cheeses, but the mark up is even higher for the items that I like. Some things are cheaper, though.

This reminds me of a story.

Workers at a company tried to fix a hot water furnace. When they couldn't they called in an expert, who walked in looked at it for a second and hit it. The furnace worked. The expert billed $300 which the company queried as being too expensive for one smack. The new invoice was issued:
Hitting furnace $10
Knowing where to hit the furnace $290
Total $300

Services are actually worth money i.e. English teachers get paid for providing a service.

You could shop around and find everything cheaper like go to Costco and don't go crazy buying too much, and then visit the Halal butcher for lamb and then the deli at a 5 star hotel for other needs, but even a Hagwon teacher is pulling w27,500 an hour, so shouldn't you be working?

I'm a big fan of the work NiceDeli do and I would use them more often if I didn't eat Korean food everyday.

Very Happy

If you can get the exact same $100,000 BMW at the store or get it for a $1 at auction, what would you do? Razz

Possible if you get into one of those government auctions. Probably not for a $1 but, definitely with a good chunk knocked off.

Everyone seems to be missing the point. If you can get the same thing for cheaper some place else. Then why are you paying more when you can pay less?
