| Does anybody know anything about Haengdang? Thinking about a school there. It's about six stops and a transfer from Itaewon and, I have to admit, I'm an Itaewon guy. |

In the last 5 years its become a real dump. Drug addicts, homeless ajjoshi, and male prostitutes all hang out behind the Family Mart now. Its like they have their own little economy going. Its amazing how much a place can change in 5 years. The buildings are run down now.
I remember, it started with the drugs. Then the drug addicts became homeless. And then the homeless turned to male prostitution to fund their homelessnessness. "What about all the women?" you ask. They turned to male prostitution as well if that makes any sense. Terrible...
OP... I doubt it could have changed THIS much in the last 5 years. I am sure it's still a nice area (although, I have never been there). |

| I used to teach over there. It's kind of nice, tons of huge apartments though. |

It's a nice enough residential area with good transport connections to most places. Has an emart up the road in Wangshimni and a Homeplus a bit further away. Close to 4 or 5 subway stops on 5 different lines. Not too far from the Han River for exercising and Seoul Forest and Childrens Park. A short jaunt to Itaewon.
Actually, if you remember that bus that blew up last summer...that was in Haengdang. |
