Hey y'all

After bringing my HTC hero to Korea with the idea of setting it up onto KT's network, it became way too much trouble. So I decided to just buy a fresh new smartphone. I ended up weighing up the Nexus S, Iphone 4 and the 2x....Decided to go with the newest tech (dual core cpu) and got the LG.

Does anyone else have this phone? What are some of the best apps on SK?

I just also noticed that the model I got differs slightly from the model LG is selling overseas. Does anyone know if these differences are just cosmetic??

I got the 2x and been really happy with it. I haven't really downloaded any SK apps though, I just download from the Android store. As for games, you can just download torrents from the internet and copy them across - easy peasy.

I think i will have to root my 2x also. There is way too much LG andSK bloatwere.....did you use superoneclick to root?

another thing im a little concerned about is the battery temperature. my phone seems to be getting very hot. With moderate to heavy usage im getting readings of up to 42 degrees (c).....have either of you guys notice this with your phones?

I was going to get one of these until I read a fairly scathing review at TechRadar. There biggest gripes were that it showed little improvement over current single core phones, the camera was horrible, and the screen was last gen (i.e. crappy) and not very sensitive. Have you compared it to other smartphones? How does it measure up?

Here's the review:

Well i disagree about the camera being bad - I think its very good actually. Compared to my brothers galaxy S and dad's Nexus 1....All in all, though, its probably not much of an improvement over the current single core phones. BUT, its certainly more future-proof. Having that 2nd core will come in handy as newer versions of android come out..........your best bet might be to wait for the galaxy S2.

I also have a Korean Optimus 2x,which i bought the day it came out. So far, I really like it. It is very snappy, the touchscreen, although not AMOLED looks quite nice to my eyes and the touch response is not laggy at all. I rooted it via superoneclick 1.7 and have also installed Clockwork Recovery. However, there are currently no ROMS out for the korean version. I tried installing a european version rom and that resulted in the bottom hardware/touch keys not functioning, requiring a factory reset. Does anyone know if the Korean community is developing any ROMS for our version of the O2X?
