Wrong. I was thinking more along the lines of bus to Sadang then Sadang to Hongik. |

But thanks even though I calculated that route earlier. Only 62 minutes so if time permitting I'll take it. |

I'd recommend going to Gimpo Airport then taking the AREX to Hongdae. |

The fastest way to Hongdae is by the Yongsan Rapid express subway, which stops at Sindorim where you can transfer to line 2. Unfortunately, this train only runs about every 60-90 minutes, so you have to time it right. Good luck! |

Or just take the train from Suwon. Plenty of trains come through there and you can be to Yongsan in 29 minutes or Seoul in 31. A quick ride to line 6, then straight to Hapjeong and you're there - all told, you could make it in about 45 minutes. |

You can also take a Mungunghwa train to Yeongdeungpo, take line 1 to Sindorim, and transfer to line 2 to Hongdae. |

Express subway to Shindorim and then Line 2 to Hongdae. Or Train to Seoul Station and then Arex to Hongdae... |

I did this. It worked well, hongdae in about 50 min to an hour. Unfortunately unless you are lucky, you will end up waiting far to long for Mugunghwa so it isn't a good option when you are pressed for time. |

You should get the train schedule for the Munghwa. But yeah, if you miss it, then you're screwed I suppose... |

Yeah, then main problem is it is at a set time, and you never know what the traffic will be like. A bit tricky. |
