I've searched this topic and pretty much found a general answer, however I have some specific procedural questions.

My school is getting pretty shady all of a sudden. My plan was to renew my contract for another year. My contract ends August 10th. So, according to immigration, the rules have been postponed until next year, so I don't need new paperwork until 2012. OK, so I think that works for transferring as well.

How does the timeline work? Do I find a job that starts very soon after my contract finishes? It doesn't sound right to quit this job early, and I wouldn't want to. How long is the window to start the new job? What do I need to accomplish this?

I haven't told my school my change in plans, but I am going to soon. Thanks for your info, and I apologize if this is redundant.
