So I live around the Bang Bang intersection between Yangjae and Gangnam. I've found there are massage shops, screen golf, and coffee shops on every corner. But I haven't been able to find much good quality healthy Korean food.
I've read some Korean food blogs and they say that the smaller the menu the better. Best case is a shop where there is just 1or2 - maximum 5 food options on the menu, Korean ajumas are cooking up a storm in the back, and everything tastes fresh and home cooked. This is what I'm after!!
So far my favourite place is 'Omori Jigae'. Its a chain, but they say that they use no chemicals! The price and taste is awesome! And they have English menus at their Jamsil and Chongdam Locations. Chongdam location is near the Chongdam intersection. Jamsil location is on the other side of Jamsil Lake, across from Lotte World. Their black bean noodles, doenjang bibimbap, and kimchi Jigae are amazing!

So how about it? Any hidden gems that you have found around Gangnam? |

Around Seoulleung Station is a tofu restaurant operated by an elderly North Korean refugee. The food is light, flavorful, abundant.
Around the same there is a vegetarian buffet. I won't say it's healthful though. The grub is pretty heavy.
About a block off of the Bang Bang intersection is another tofu restaurant. It's difficult to say just where the joint is, considering that it's tucked away in a back street. Food's tasty, I think, and so does my girl. And we came out of it, though stuffed, feeling lean. If you want detailed directions I'll ramble around the area to commit landmarks to memory. |

Oh, good. Do you think the leave out dihydrogen monoxide? I can never find a place for sure that guarantees no dihydrogen monoxide. |
