It's been a few months since I've lived in Seoul, but I seem to remember that there was some sort of author's group kicking around. They'd probably know about poetry readings, etc. Check out the Seoul Classifieds, and I'm sure you'll find their information, if they're still around. |

What a Book store in Itaewon used to have poetry readings but when I checked last week that had dropped off. The owner said the poets stopped coming. I suspect at a place like What a Book would probably be friendly to poetry readings but someone has to have some gumption to organize the event.
I have heard some pubs in Itaewon have "open mics" which might mean anything... sing a song, read a poem, tell some jokes. Check the Korean Herald paper and sometimes you see people list events in the community billboard ads.
Now that the weather is better, it might be kind of fun to organize a small open air poetry reading in that park in Hyewha... Mariner park or something.
It would certainly make for some great spectacle, although Aristotle tells us spectacle is the lowest form of drama... |

PM Harpeau (surprised he hasn't posted here).
There's an open mike every couple of weeks in Itaewon and you can pretty much do whatever you want. As I recall some people used to read poetry. |

sadly, no one really listened to the poets though. mainly a musical thing. |
