I know this is Korea and he was in Japan, but essentially he was one of us. So many people have lost their lives but in some ways, we tend to distance ourselves from it because they are "them" and we are "us." If anything good can come from such a tragedy, let it be that we all start putting things like nationality or race or anything else aside. Let us recognize that in the eyes of the universe, we are all one.

Thoughts and prayers for his family along with the family members and loved ones of all who perished.

To think that this poor teacher taught in one of the safest countries in the world makes me think of the fragility of life.
