FBI Check Needed for E1 visa?

The title says it all, if someone is applying for an E1 visa, do they need an FBI criminal background check? Can't find it on Kimmi's website and wanted to try here before calling in.

E1 = no.
E2 = yes.
E7= maybe (depending on the position applied for).

Really? Could you offer a bit more detail?


E7 (specialist) may require a CBC if you are going to work for the government, police (personal experience) and possibly the armed services.

It won't be needed for jobs in industry.

I don't know if they request them now for jobs in the international schools (wasn't a requirement but subject to change) as a teacher (not ESL).
