Sure, but you're better off going through a Korean website. It also helps to be flexible with your dates, of course.
I have no idea where/when you're going, but I just did a generic search on Top Travel (English available) from ICN to Chicago in mid-May and found one-way tickets for 660,000 Won.

InDagu, I don't think that flight is actually available. Korean sites do this all the time. |

It is, I've used Top Travel several times. Off to the right you can see if they are available, waitlist, or closed. There's also a box you can click to only show the available flights. Top Travel has added this feature recently so you don't have to wade through every flight to see which are available like you do on WhyPayMore.
(Like many Korean sites, you're better off using Internet Explorer) |

Where are you trying to go in the US? I'm researching this too and I'm finding that flying into Los Angeles is usually the cheapest option. Then you can bus/train it wherever you're going if you have more time than money (like I do). |

I don't know about you guys, but I always had better luck booking through a travel agency in Korea than websites.
There are plenty of english speaking travel agencies in Korea. Give one or two a call and I'm pretty sure they will be able to match or beat any price you see online |

just use expedia.
you can explore more options and see the prices and dates clearly.
I don't recommend using any Korean travel agents. Major hassle and you'll probably not have a clear idea of the terms of your ticket. |

My friend went via Beijing with Delta. She used Air Asia to get to Beijing. It's the bus route but it was the cheapest she could find. |

www.kayak.com is how I always find a cheap flight. As long as you buy your ticket one week ahead of time, you should be in good shape. I booked a direct flight from NY for about 800 bucks! I know this sounds like an ad, but I just had a great experience. Asiana was an awesome airline too. I also just looked up prices. you can fly a week from today for 825. a lot of stops though. Some people perfer a stop or two. |

Korean websites are usually cheaper than kayak.com. |

Yes, their websites quote cheaper prices, but you'll be hard pressed to get those.
They are usually non changeable, non refundable, allow for no mileage points and have more connections.
Heck, the miles on a roundy from NY to ICN are worth at least 200 cash. |

These are all true stories. Kayak works great for me because I don't travel too often.. and when I do it's on all different airlines. I've never seen the use of miles but I'm sure I'll start to need them more and more now that I'm getting older
