no money in fighting it! so most governments don't care unless they certain groups get funding to fight it.. In korea they would like to ignore the problem and use possible funds to put up more cameras to make money from drivers!
or use the funds for drinking in room salons for government workers..

basically blame home education!

Because there's a direct link? Rolling Eyes Yeah, ok. The rates are not really that high, I mean it's not good, but relatively speaking it's not that high.

i don't think it's porn. i grew up with an older brother and older cousins and was exposed to porn from a very young age- 8 years old. now i'm not even interested in porn.

plus, teens in america are exposed to as much porn as korean kids are. i think it goes deeper than just watching porn.

Exactly. We are talking about reported cases. It's entirely possibly that these problems have always existed, yet females are finally starting to feel comfortable coming out about it, as they should. I'm sure you'd see the same trends in any place that has started to become socially enlightened, with or without the Internet, porn, or the like.

dont bother with that person, they like to chime in their 2 cents on things about this and that, but then in 95% of he/she's posts they diss korea and have something negative to say about korea/koreans. Ignoring would be the way to go! Cool

RMNC is proving himself to be quite the troll. Most of his posts are of the "look at me!" variety.

It's like anything. A lot of people can "enjoy" it and be none the worse off for it. Other people don't understand that porn is essentially acting and that not all girls are just objects that need to be taken advantage of. Not all guys are in control of their impulses either and all porn does is serve to rile them up.

Yes, the well-respected poster who helps people by reviewing contracts is a troll. All my posts are attention-grabbers because I'm an egomaniac with a minority complex.

Anyone that seriously thinks porn causes people to act as sexual deviants needs to get their head examined. Hell, there would probably be MORE cases like the above if porn didn't exist. People need a release, porn is a fine example of something that makes people feel good and doesn't hurt anyone.

And for the record, I wasn't trying to say that I was trolling, but rather carleverson's "and people say porn is harmless Rolling Eyes" is a troll. Porn doesn't cause things like this to happen; living in a sexually repressed society that tries to pretend that sex doesn't exist does.

In one of your recent posts, you called teachers that got "dongg chimmed" 'fools' and lacking in mental capacity. I thought it was funny because 95% of foreigners who have worked at a hagwon here have had that happened at some point.

This is one example in a long list of posts where you belittle people who aren't really deserving of being belittled. If that's not trolling than it's definitely attention-whoring.

I didn't mean to imply that porn causes people to become sexual deviants. I think porn is usually harmless.

However, I also think it skews our perception of what sex should be like, our ideas about body image and I think that it portrays something which should be personal and highly subjective into a base, animalistic tendency that is only appealing on it's simplest level.

To say that porn doesn't hurt people is ignorant. It does hurt some people in ways that only sex can. I'm not sure we can always blame the porn itself for this, no more than we can blame violent movies and so on, however to completely ignore it's negative impacts is irresponsible.

At the end of the day, people with weak psychological fortitude will do all sorts of crazy things that will be later blamed on porn or video games or what have you. I personally hate it when media is blamed for someone's crimes. These people choose how to behave and no one/nothing outside of themselves makes that choice for them.

That's not to say that porn doesn't have an affect on otherwise normal people, though.

I know a lot of d-bags that expect their girlfriends to act like girls from porn, or people who lose interest in having normal, healthy sex in lieu of watching porn. Or guys that think a 140lb girl is disgustingly fat. The truth is that porn is a "sometimes food" with no nutritional value and people would be better not to eat it too often.

I also don't know how I feel about calling Korea a sexually repressed society. The Middle East is sexually repressed. Korea is sexually frustrated and a bit weird.
