Two of my middle school boys are in a punk/HC band called "Night Walker" and they have a show in Hongdae at DGBD on Sat, May 28th. Their Naver site is this:

http://music.naver.com/album/index.nhn?albumId=185628

They are looking for more bands to play with them. I believe the cost for renting the venue is 800,000 won, so my students want more bands so that the cost cheaper (maybe 200,000-100,000 won a band). They have to put down 400,000 for the deposit. I think that means if your band plays, you will have to give some amount to the venue. I am not familiar with playing shows in Seoul, so I was not aware of this fee, which I am sure, makes the gig a bit of a bummer. If you are experienced in playing shows, I suppose the fee will not come as a surprise. Or if you are not experienced, but want to play, this could be a good opportunity.

I have a note from my student explaining the gig info in Korean. However, I took out some of the student's private information, but he is a 3rd grade whose Korean stage name is Bae Jin Kyung and his English name is Vitriol. I support this kind of "against the norm" creative and artistic behavior from my students, so I want to help them out!

The student who wrote this can express himself in English quite well, but he didn't feel confident asking for help in this manner in English, especially to native speakers! (I'm working on this with him Smile ) On a side note, when he speaks to me in school, I have no problem understanding him.

If you are interested in perhaps playing, please message me!!!

2011.4.11
Exhaustion loud rock band Backlash leader. Vitriol.

I'm in a punk band called" Dole que". We don't play our instraments we literally attack the audience. We grew up in a swat in London in the early seventies. Our early memories include sniffin glue being beat up by coppers and Teddy boys. In 1979 some of the guys in our band went National Front so we broke up. We later met some Jamacan guys and created a Ska two tone band.

In the early eighties Thatcher came into power. We got into the whole ban the bomb thing and became vegetarians. We were attacked numerously by police attending rallies for CND. We later realized that the only way to get laid was getting into" Frankie Goes To Holleywood"

Apparently he needs 3 more bands besides his own. As of now, it's still on. PM if interested.
