| Today I tried to use my card and it didn't work. I proceeded to go around the corner to the bank and use the ATM machines and all of them didn't work. What gives? Anybody else have any issues with their NH card/bank? I couldn't even take money out at a different ATM. |

| I have this issue a lot of the time. I've had to learn which machines in my neighborhood work for me. It's a pain, but I can't be bothered to open a new account elsewhere. |

It's strange.
All the ATM machines weren't functioning at all. There was a note on the door but my Korean is terrible. |

I completely snapped at the drugstore today when my card wasn't accepted for use. I stormed out after slamming the door open and made a complete jerk of myself.
When will the machines be back up again? Should I just go to the bank with my book and identification to withdraw money? |

| same, card wouldn't work last night. They have ATMS on the ground floor of my school's building and I noticed this morning that all of them had the red light on them saying they weren't working. |

I used Nonghyup exclusively for two years. Always was a great bank for me, except for the holidays. They would close down for "system upgrades," and of course, the notices were always posted on the door, but only in Korean and not very noticeable, just another white paper with regular sized lettering.
Reading the notice, yeah, it's just an error. To put it in perspective though, I've never had a problem with my Nonghyup card, not once over the three years I've had them, save for the uninformed bank holiday. Now, I use KEB as my primary bank and have had nothing but trouble with them. I got a new card and it wouldn't work at their own atm sometimes. I replaced that card, it worked. I went to Yeosu a week later and it didn't work. Thank God I had enough cash and my Nonghyup card (which worked fine). Just last night at Lotte Mart, the KEB card crapped out again. I keep complaining, they keep checking, saying "the card is fine, it must be their systems." Right...
Let this be a reminder - always have enough cash on hand and carry a spare account with some cash for a few days - never know when you're going to need it. |

In that case the strip on your card might be damaged. I've had a card that failed physically (even though it appeared fine). Try swapping it in for a new one. |

| I spoke briefly with a teller at a local NH branch. She said the system should be back in order at around 10:00 AM. Only one way to find out. |
