A recruiter suggested them. Can anyone comment on their curriculum or experience there. This was the one in Gangnam.

I had an interview with one in Bupyong. From what I gathered from the woman is that ALL you do is read books (no surprise there.) I'm not sure how much you focus on other areas of the English language like sentence structure and grammar. Others will chime in. But for some reason, Readingtown has gotten some negative reviews by some people here as I recall. It's all about the branch, though.

You don't just read books. You also teach writing and sight words. Speaking is taught in conjunction with the books that you read. The curriculum at Reading Town is actually quite good. It's probably one of the most organized schools I've worked at.

Be careful about the contract though. Make sure it includes pension and medical insurance. Make sure they pay your tax. I had a bit of a shady employer who tried to screw me over on all of those things and gave me a really hard time when I asked questions about it. On the other hand, he would take us out for supper almost every night for the first couple of months, which was nice.

What's a "sight word"?

High-frequency words that students should recognize on sight rather than having to phonetically sound the word out, i.e. "the", "I", "a", etc., as students will learn how to recognize these prior to learning the phonetic rules for the words.
