sorry everyone if this has been posted before. But I would like to know if there are any indoor swimming pools around seoul with gym? I've been looking around on the net and came up with very little.

I would also like info on this, more specifically somewhere north of the river. I haven't researched it much, but from what I've seen there are some gyms/community rec centers that have pools, but their hours aren't very convenient and/or they may only be open on weekends.

You guys should post your exact location.

I'm up in Mia (line 4, blue) and there is one really close to the subway station. It has a pool with free swim times and a gym as well. I've never seen the gym so I don't know what it has to offer. I think its 80k a month for the combo membership and 60k for just the pool.

With that pool, and most in Seoul I would guess, there is a lot of copetition for space. I quit after a few months because I was just tired of swimming and stopping, swimming and stopping for an hour. If you have a schedule where you can swim during the afternoon then it may be ok for you. Bring your swim cap and speedo.

Both last year and so far this year I've really had difficulty keeping my patience when I swam. Koreans are content, it seems, to be in the pool for an hour, and stop every lap or two. If I can swim straight through, I can typically get a mile in in about 25-30 minutes and then be out of the pool. Nearly impossible to do here.

I live out west--Gangseo-gu, and there are two pools within a half mile of each other. The one will re-open in May. There's a major busstop there, too, but no subway station.

Every community gym that I have been to in Seoul has a swimming pool. Usually there is one every other dong or so.

Where north of the river are you talking about? Which gu?

There is an indoors water park at Wangsimni Station (line 4 and 2), also a gym and a jimjilbang. It is great!
