I'm selling my U.S. iPhone 4. I have already registered it in the KT network, but because the unlock for the phone has yet to be released, it can not be used in Korea. Eventually, you will be able to but I already have a phone so I have no need for this now.
FIRM asking price: 550,000
Condition: Like NEW but box is not included
contact: 010 8635 5828
Cheers

If it's not unlocked...how do you have it registered on the KT network? |

Presumably he means that he has registered the IMEI number with the KCC, but it is still factory locked to ATT. After the Dev team figures out how to unlock the baseband, it would be usable off the ATT network.
I think he's asking too much money for it, though. |

So he should really be selling it when the phone has been confirmed as KT ready? |

Yes, you are correct. It's imei registered through KT. And I don't think I'm asking too much for it at all. Getting it unlocked is a matter of time. And sooner rather later, there will be an unlock for it. The price for a Korean iPhone 4 16g used is around 700,000. Given that fact, I don't think I'm asking too much at all. The market price for a used U.S. iPhone 4 16g is around 400 to 450. Plus the hassle of shipping etc etc I still think 550,000 is fairly priced. |

Or for a several hundred thousand won less (with a purchased plan), you could buy a BRAND NEW iPhone 4 16gig that is also FULLY FUNCTIONAL on KT and is not just a glorified iTouch (as you are offering).

Right I see how that may technically be a much more inexpensive way to get an iPhone 4 in Korea. But as long as the would be buyer could wait for the unlock to be released as I clearly stated in my initial post, I don't think i'm asking too much at all. You are talking about something irrelevant to what I'm selling here. This is a NON BINDING, no monthly paying, no 2 year commitment if you break it there will be a penalty fee, phone that i'm selling. Totally beside the point you are making. So please, unless you are interested in buying the phone. Your comments are not welcome. But thanks for the info you posted. I wasn't aware you could unlock a Korean iPhone here.

Sure, there's no contract, because what you're offering is a glorified Ipod touch. You say it's a matter of time, but don't have an estimate/timeframe? So nobody really knows when the phone functionality will be restored, and how easy it will be for ATT to unlock it from the U.S...too much hassle in my opinion. |

It is as stated an iPhone. That's what I'm selling and I'm selling it AS IS. Nothing more or less than what was written. I'm sorry if you think the price/inconvenience is too high. If you're not going to purchase it then you are obviously wasting your time and my time so please take your opinions elsewhere. Thanks and BUMP.

Bump...to add.
It may appear to be an iPhone, but if it cannot make phone calls, then it really isn't a phone is it?
I'm not wasting time, I'm killing time deskwarming at my job as the manager of a cell phone retailer. |

He's right in that with a phone already purchased, you can break the contract whenever you desire with no penalty. Also, can't you just get a 'pay as you go' type of contract? Might be useful for those here short term. |

In my humble opinion he would have better luck lowering the price a bit and marketing it to someone on their way out of korea. |

Sure, but even then, it's only going to work if that person is going to america AND only if they sign up with AT&T (or whatever provider controls the service lock) when they get there. |

I like those odds better than what he has on the table right now. |
