I'm a big fan of real, in your hand flashcards that students can cut up, use, for a multitude of language speaking/learning activities.
Here's an ebook with hundreds of sets you can print in a snap. All with real photos, images. Also, suggested activities that I've used successfully. http://bit.ly/eeOfv1
Further, students can go to the sets outside of class and play games, test, review etc....
If you have any links to other good sets, please share. I've noted some in the ebook too.
Download the book (hit the download button, bottom right) to get the links to work in the pdf and get the flashcard sets. Lots more sets on EFL Classroom 2.0 also, in our resources.
Cheers,
DD

How do you get the actual flashcards? Why do you make people jump through hoops?
First you click to zoom in? What's the purpose of that? Why not just link to some pics or have them in a .pdf file?
After clicking a dozen times, I finally got something to open up, but it was like a table of contents. I tried clicking more and gave up. I don't know how to get to the actual pictures.
Not very user-friendly. Try again. Think simple. One page, 10 or so pictures. |

Korean kids seem to love nothing more than to fold, spindle, and mutilate any piece of paper that you give them and they are very creative...especially when it omes to destroying my classroom.
Trust them with scissors? Not until college...at the very least!
Besides that, the laminated ones can be re-used. |

This could be a great resource. I love flashcard games. Right now we've been using them to practice putting the days of the week and the months in the correct order. They compete in two groups and they get really enthusiastic. Everyone is involved too. Great learning activity and very physical and right in front of them.
Thanks for the resource. |
