Ok. The wife just picked up the new white iphone 4. So her 3gs will be sitting at home until her sister comes for a visit. I've read many different threads stating that the iphone 4 is sold unlocked. If we swap sim cards and hers works in mine or vice versa, does this mean it is truly unlocked? Or will it work because they are both Korean iPhone 4 on the same KT network?
Next, we want to give the phone to her sister. We do not have a foreign SIM card here. Does anyone know if you can buy them any where in Korea? We don't want to actually use it for minutes, just want the carrier unlock.
Also, does anyone have a working link to show my co-teacher on the Show site what unlocking is? I found a blog http://sohandsometeacher.com/2011/01/24/unlock-your-korea-purchased-iphone/ but the link no longer works.
Do I dial 114 or is there an English number?
Thanks |

Well I got the unlock message from KT. Other posters mentioned using a foreign sim card. What's the reason? Could I use a SIM from an iPhone on SK Telecom's network? |
