anyone ever been? i went there this past weekend in search of authentic viet food. went to a restaurant recommended by eatyourkimchi and found it to be more "authentic" than any other place in seoul, but still, mediocre viet food.

i got the com thit nuong and bun bo hue. later, i went to a thai restaurant at the front of the main street for the pad thai. also not impressed.

any recommendations on some good eats in that area?

The Uzbek place is pretty solid. Given the sheer number of Indonesians there, I would assume the Indonesian food would be tolerable, though Indonesian food isn't exactly fantastic to begin with.

The place has a lot of types of restaurants and they're all cheap. The quality varies from place to place. One of the Indonesian places microwaved their meals. The Uzbek joint is good.

First or second left, just a bit down the street, I believe. There's Cyrillic lettering on the sign outside. Think lots of slow cooked meat.

I liked the food at the Uzbek joint, but I thought their service sucked. I don't think I'll ever go there again because I thought they were too rude.
