My contract expires June 1st. If I renew my contract for a year on May 1st, will my ARC card be good until June or July (13 month rule)? Basically, the day you renew do you get a year from that date or a year from the new contract start date?
When renewing which date do they go by for your year extension - the date you renewed or the date your new contract ends?
I want to renew as soon as possible, just to get it done with. But I don't want to be too early if my 2nd year length of stay begins the day I renew. |

It will be a year from the start date on your new contract not a year from when you went to immigration. |

I think the op means, are the new visas good for 13 months now? If he renews on June 1st, can he stay until July 1st next year with no problems? I'd like to know this too. We have heard there is a new rules, but when is it taking effect? For those who have renewed, what is the deal for you? |
