Hi all, I'm curious about a chain of schools called Global Language Institute. I've got offers to work in Sunae or Seohyeon branches. They were not forthcoming with contact information from current/former teachers, so I'm getting a weird vibe.

I read awful things about Gumi branch in these forums, but nobody has said anything about Sunae/Seohyeon.

The pay is 2.3m/month, working split shifts: 6:50am to noon, then 7 to 9.30.

If they're not forthcoming with the contact information of current and/or former teachers, it's because they're trying to hide something. I suggest you RUN, not walk, from these schools.

That's my first instinct. I'm probably not taking this position, but I try to keep my options open as long as possible.

I have managed to get in contact with a former (current?) employee and I will try to post some of what she says back on here (anonymously, of course).

That's some crappy schedule. Just on that basis alone I wouldn't take it.
