|
|
So I got my FBI CBC back in the mail today, and I don't know if they honored my request for a seal and signature. In my initial envelope I included a note that read, "Please provide an FBI seal and signature from a Division Officer for the purpose of obtaining a Federal Apostille."
What does this mean exactly? My background check does have a signature on it, from the "section chief" in the Criminal Justice Information Services Division. There is also a embossed FBI seal near the signature. Is this all that I need? There is only one piece of paper, is the seal and signature supposed to be a separate document?
The reason I got suspicions is that included in the envelope was one other piece of paper, a FAQ entitled "Does the FBI apostle" in which they explain"The FBI will authenticate US DEPT of Justice Order fingerprint search results for international requests by placing the FBI seal and signature of Division official on the results, if requested at the time of submission."
Any help would be much appreciated! |

You're good. You have the seal and signature. Now just send it off to the DC Dept. of State office for aspostille and you're good to go. |

Yep, just to confirm, that's what you needed. It's basically another way of saying "notarization". Send that sucker off. |
