Just got to Korea and was looking to get an iPhone 4 but was told to wait as the iPhone 5 will come out this summer. Is there any truth to this??

I'm not sure if I should get one now or just wait til the summer.

It seems optimistic to think that the iPhone 5 would come out in the summer. Last year iPhone 4 didn't come out in Korea until September followed by the iPad in November. There isn't even a date yet for the iPad 2 rollout here. One wouldn't be surprised if Samsung and LG were pulling strings to protect their home turf.

yea but if we leave korea alone, then yes, iphone 5 is supposed to be presented the first days of june, and to be sold elsewhere in july -i suppose- just like it was for previous iphones .

no idea about korea tho, but if the ipad 2 has no selling date yet, it doesnt sound like good news.

i read the iphone 5 might come out this winter or early 2012, maybe even spring 2012 since apple is rolling out the white iphone 4 to keep it's interest up.

I've heard summer 2011, and released fall 2011.

i'm think you won't be seeing the iphone 5 until late fall or early winter due to all the industry speculation and supply chain reports.

the latest batch of rumors all pegs it as an ipad2 type of situaton with just an updated processor but same-ish form factor, basically nothing revolutionary. unless you need the added horsepower i'd just save yourself the stress and get the 4 which is a fantastic handset.
