Anyone else experiencing this? On highest settings I was getting black spots on terrain, on high sometimes it freezes or crashes. I have a gtx560 ti. I heard it is a driver issue but when I tried to install the nvidia beta drivers my screen went black and I had to restart.

DA2 has serious issues running in DX11 mode with many Geforce graphics cards. As far as I know, they still haven't completely fixed the issue. I also had tons of graphical issues when running in DX11 mode. If you go into the settings and switch Direct X to DX9 that should solve your issues.

Unfortunately this will eliminate a lot of the graphics options that made the game look so good. But I guess if you only have a choice between lower graphics or not playing the game at all...

Really it's a fun game even though I'm currently getting my ass handed to me as a mage on nightmare...I want to see the highest settings though. I hate when Hawke's arm moves through his clothing

Yea, I gave up trying to find a work around to play it with DX11. I must have tried about 10 different graphics drivers before I gave up. Even applied the patch and still had issues.

I just play in DX9, it may not look as nice but at least I don't have to worry about the game freezing/crashing every 10 minutes.

I remember having graphical issues too on DX11, can't remember exactly what I did to fix it but...

There were a number of things;

beta drivers
changing the exe to metro2033
3rd party sli config utility thingy...
and other stuff

No problems here on the highest settings with a HD 5870

I had some crashing issues at first, but got it resolved by fuddling with the settings. My lappy just didn't like it on the higher quality graphics. It was still quite awesome, even with lower graphics.
