I am really considering teaching ESL in South Korea, but I'm not sure which area I want to teach in. I must admit that I am not really a big city person and don't care too much about the nightlife. I would prefer a place with lots of outdoorsy stuff to do.
Any suggestions?
Another quick question, do Hagwons require you to have letter of recommendations? I know PS requires them.
Thanks for the help! |

You'd probably like Chuncheon. Nice small city about 2 hours east of Seoul. Plenty of mountains and outdoorsy stuff in Gangwon-do.
If you want to be closer to Seoul, look at Dongtan or Ilsan, which are really nice planned communities. |

Ilsan or Bundang, if you want to be outside of Seoul.
Busan is cool.
Yeosu sounds nice too. |

What do you mean by "nice"? Outdoorsy? Lots of Western style bars? Clubs? Apartments? Houses ? |
