| Job market getting better here? I applied to 10 recruiters a year and a half ago and maybe one or two took a while to get back to me. Now I applied to 4 or 5 and it seems 3 or 4 getting back to me. Doesn't mean they were as persistent as a few years ago. But hopefully it's a start. Seems more jobs and more offers. |

I think the CBC is thinning the herd a bit. Remember something shows up if they were just arrested, but not convicted. A hell of a lot of people get arrested and never convicted. Makes no difference to Korean Immi though.
Also just the time and money that goes into it turn a lot of people off. For Americans it can be a little complicated and take a while if you do it yourself. And if you pay a company to do it for you, it can cost hundreds of dollars.
Also, jobs are being added back home. Despite the media sensationalizing university graduates living with their parents again. I think the US has added a couple hundred thousand jobs so far this year. Plus Canada has been doing really well for a year or more now. |

| The future is looking bright. Hopefully by 2012, things will be back to normal. Looking forward to the day when the English teachers are in control again. Yee Haw! |

Yeah, the CBC is what's doing it, I think. Korea is no longer something that you can just "pop into". That 3 month barrier is a big deal when you're looking at the possibility of just going to China or Thailand or Japan even if they pay less. |
