Hi guys,
So I'm due to begin in Masan in June,
Never been to that side of the world so could do with a few pointers from UK peeps?
1. Any advise on which bank to set up an account with?
2. What would you guys advise bringing with me from UK (eg HP brown sauce  )
3. I'm tall (6"2); size 12 shoes - what are the chances of getting clothes over there? (ie is a Primark trip in order? - god I hope not!)
As with any newbie asking questions like this; I'll appreciate any answers.

1. KEB or KB*. Don't bother with any other bank.
2. Cadbury's, any tea you like, and HP. Those are the three things that I miss most. Also, any deodorant/after shave you like.
3. You won't find size 12 shoes here so bring shoes - I'm a 12 and the biggest I've found is 11. I'm slightly taller than you and I can find clothes so that's not an issue (depending, of course, on how big you are). |

1. KEB for the bank
2. bring some decent toothpaste, chewing gum and any sweets you'll miss
3. i'm an 11 and i've never seen shoes bigger than a 10 outside itaewon. there are some big shoe shops but you'll be really limited to a small selection. |

1. KEB (best bank for foreigners in Korea)
2. Lot's of deodorant. It's expensive here.
3. Probably best to bring shoes and clothes with you to last a year. |

1. I'm not sure if you get much say in what bank you go with, your boss will probably just take you to one and set it up for you. Saying that, most bosses seem to put you with KB anyway.
2. Bring HP brown sauce, although you can't get any decent bacon to eat it with. Sausages here are good however. Also bring Cadbury's chocolate and Haribo, the chocolate here is not great. (Nobody does chocolate like the UK) and another vote for bringing deoderant and I'd also advise bringing flouride toothpate.
It's a shame cheese doesn't travel well.
3. You should be fine for clothes. There is a couple of H&M's here and they all cater for larger sizes. Not too sure about footwear but based on what other people have said, I'd stock up. |

really? 
I'd say the opposite. The only decent bangers I've found here are imported and very expensive. The local ones I find are just the frankfurter style of sausage... nice sometimes, but not like the good old British bangers.
I'll second the shout on bacon though. It's crud here. |

Sausages here are horrible, mystery meat mini logs. (well, more mysterious than usual  )
Make your own bacon! Get a butcher/order some thin samgyeopsal, smother it in salt and crisp crisp on the pan. |
