I have tried the search button multiple times, but it doesn't seem to be working. Therefore, even though I'm sure someone has asked this in the past, I'm asking again:

Any good coffee shops to take a date near Gangnam Station? I'm looking for something better than your average Starbucks. A small, relatively quiet place would be great. If they roast their own beans, it would be even better!

If it is possible to give an address or directions with your suggestion, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I like twosome place because their chai latte is delicious lol but again its a chain lol. on the main strip of gangnam if you walk down by KEB bank right by gangnam exit 6 across the street is a burger king. walk around the corner that way and on the back street is a couple nice coffee places (if memory serves me correct, i could be wrong so sorry in advance! lol) the thing about coffee places is the good quiet ones sometimes get no business and shut down =(

Your also taking about economics. The only places that can really afford near Gangam station are going to be chains. I actually hear that many make a loss because of the rent, they just stay to keep the image going.

But I ave heard of one place

If you get off the main streets, you're bound to find some independent coffee shops.
There's a few near Yangjae station, a little further down from Gangnam station. One I like is 'la folie', where the coffee shop doubles as a plant store. You can buy any of the plants that you like. There's another one just down the street from there, I don't remember the name, but the coffee is good and they have a nice lemon tea.

Sorry I don't have directions for you, but I'm sure you'll find others if you walk away from the main action.
