Ah my macbook broke down, think it's harddrive problem.
Anyone know of apple store in Seoul??
Possible website to make appointment a genious bar? |

| The Frisbee shop in Hongdae is pretty good. I usually just go to the mac guy in Yongsan (2nd floor of the electronics market on the other side of the above-ground walkway) for small things, but for something bigger, try Frisbee. |

You wont find a genius bar in South Korea. If you call Apple they can tell you their list of authorized Korean vendors. The list is on their website as well.
I think only 1 or 2 speak English though. I heard the A+ store at COEX mall is pretty good. Do a search, I remember there being a post about places to get your Mac fixed. |

It's not A+, its A#, haha. Like how Koreans pronounce "sharp" comes out like "shop" so it's the "A shop" short for "Apple shop."
Anyways, yeah the guys there are pretty good, but you're going to pay for it. There are really only two good mac repair shops in Seoul. A# is in the mall and in the apple store, they get lots of foot traffic and its easy to find them so they charge more. Their English is so-so. Best to bring a Korean friend with you to help translate. And be prepared to wait. Koreans are very pc (as in windows) oriented, so when they branch out to a mac, they have no idea how to solve routine issues Thus they run to the apple store every time their pinwheel spins for too long.
The other place near Sinsa station, near Apgujung. I can't remember what exit number it is, but it's not a big station you can just walk around till you see it. Anyways, out the exit (maybe 2 or 4?) walk straight for about 3 mins and you'll see a huge apple store on your right. Can't miss it. Big windows with macs on display and such. I prefer those guys. They don't speak English at all, but the service guys tend to be nicer and more knowledgeable. Cheaper too. Faster repair times as well. If you can't find someone to help translate, you can just convey your information by using computer talk. Like they know HD means harddrive, RAM is memory, etc stuff like that. I took my old macbook in for a overhaul a few years back. New ethernet card, new i/o drive, bigger hd, upgraded ram, improved graphics card, upgraded to OS. They even blew out the mother board with canned air to get the dust out and cleaned the case with 10% rubbing alcohol. She was pretty, like brand new. All for about $500 plus labor if I remember correctly. |

Their hours are pretty limited though.
The one at Time's Square in Yeongdeongpo has English speakers. |
